GLOBALPLANET - "Labour Unions is Vital Partner in the Next 20," salah satu tema sesi panel dalam konfrensi internasional RT 2023. RSPO sebagai lembaga sertifikasi telah berumur 20 tahun. Dalam 20 tahun pertama, aspek lingkungan banyak diperbincangkan.
Dalam 20 tahun kedua, serikat buruh akan menjadi mitra RSPO sesuai judul tema panel ini. Dengan kata lain, dialog sosial yang konsisten dan berkesinambungan akan menjadi kunci mewujudkan sawit berkelanjutan bersama serikat buruh.
"Dengan dialog sosial, separuh masalah selesai. Untuk itu perlu menjadi bagian proses bisnis. Dialog tidak saja efektif menyelesaikan pesoalan perburuhan. Tetapi bisa menumbuhkan saling percaya dan jadi modal untuk melakukan berbagai terobosan dan inisiatif bersama," ujar Sumarjono Saragih, Ketua Bidang Ketenagakerjaan GAPKI.
"Social dialogue is the way of GAPKI towards sustainable palm oil. As the world largest CPO producer, Indonesia will lead and show the way to other producing countries. As from 2016, GAPKI start the journey of social dialogue. We work closely and collaboratively with various partners: ILO, CNV, NGOs and Indonesia Labour Union Network JAPBUSI. As result, jointly published practical guide books for women worker and child friendly. A bipartite social dialogue platform JAGA SAWITAN proudly declared early 2023. This platform is a historic milestone of the journey of GAPKI and partners. GAPKI is ready to welcome the RSPO Next 20 Agenda," kata Sumarjono Saragih.
